Two of the Town Council Wards in Burgess Hill are Meeds South and Meeds North. So guess what?……..
When it came to sending out the postal votes for these two Wards, Mid Sussex District Council managed to put the ballots for Meeds South into the envelopes addressed to the voters in Meeds North. And you’ve guessed it….. they managed to put the ballots for Meeds North in the envelopes addressed to the voters in Meeds South. A rather red faced Council has now had to re-issue all of the ballots. So no problem then…..? Well, what happens if you asked for a postal vote because you were going away on holiday and you had gone away by the time the second ballot paper had been sent out. I am told that there are three quality checks before the postal votes are sent out. Something went wrong somewhere.
